Champion Europe, within its Finance Department based in EMEA HQ’s in Carpi (Modena) is searching for an Inventory Controller. The ideal candidate, reporting directly to the Group Controller, will work collaboratively with Supply Chain, Wholesale and Retail departments, and will demonstrate the utmost level of attention to detail, ensuring that inventory records accurately represent stock for what concerns the EMEA region.

CORE RESPONSABILITIES

  • Working in partnership with Purchasing, Sales, Logistic team to ensure the cost effective and time efficient stock movement within the EMEA region and the improvement of the stock flow strategy across stores and local DC
  • Prevent and monitor inventory discrepancies and ensure that they can be reconciled.
  • Effectively monitor stock adjustments and transfers across the region, including warehouses.
  • Support in establishing procedures for damaged products and report accordingly.
  • Develop a range of dashboards and metrics for Inventory reporting.
  • Build and optimize current ways of working through automation.
  • Partner to developing Inventory guidelines, prepare and deliver the related training to the related stakeholders.
  • Build annual Plan and monthly forecast, monitor actual metrics, analyzing deviation from Plan and forecast
  • Run Group monthly inventory closures, reconciliations between inventory and accounting with Sales & Margin files and prepare SOX controls.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management Engineering, Business, Economics or Finance/Accounting
  • At least 5 years of experience as inventory controller, experience in a Fashion/Sporting goods company is a plus.
  • Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
  • Excellent communication, proactiveness, ability to positively relate at all levels

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel)
  • Knowledge of Oracle Financial, HFM, SAP and Power BI is a plus

SOFT SKILLS

  • Ability to plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proven ability to work cross functionally in a highly matrix environment
  • Goal oriented, problem solver and self-driven, organized with strong analytical skills
  • Eager to learn and being challenged everyday
  • Feel comfortable in working in a demanding environment
  • Has sense of urgency to provide solutions and address issue
