Summary You will serve as an Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Information Technology Department of NAVSUPPACT NAPLES. Responsibilities You will be responsible for validating the design and implementation of Installation IT systems that follow industry best practices for security and data integrity. You will employ key DoD Defense in Depth strategies and ensure all DISA regulations and guidelines are met. You will provide Information Assurance bets practice validation of designs, plans, tests, and deployment of resilient Enterprise IA systems while adhering to all DoD/DoN mandated standards and procedures. You will act as a consultant for all new IT systems being deployed within the Installation AOR and to ensure correct integration into the network security architecture. You will interface with systems engineers to ensure proper system integration into the enterprise security architecture. You will develop and validate DIACAP IA Certification and Accreditation package artifacts and deliverables. You will provide technical input into standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training guides. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:- Attention to Detail
- Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Develop and prepare IA documentation for certification and accreditation of Information Technology (IT) systems.; Develop information assurance testing plans, methodologies, and procedures to validate baselines and security postures of IT systems. Provide Cybersecurity/Information Assurance (IA) best practice validation of designs, plans, tests, and deployment of resilient Enterprise Cybersecurity/IA systems while adhering to all mandated standards and procedures.
- Customer Service
- Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Respond to customer’s needs for information and assistance to ensure optimal IT system availability, interoperability, and functionality. Interface with systems engineers to ensure proper system integration into the enterprise security architecture.

- Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Identify system and program capacities to support the operational staff.
- Problem Solving
- Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Advise system administrators and developers on addressing and resolving deficiencies. Participate in on-site surveys to determine status of security services provided by the Cybersecurity/IA architecture, including physical access controls. In addition to the four competencies above, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Supporting the development of Information Assurance (IA) documentation for the certification and accreditation of IT systems; 2) Recommending and implementing information assurance and network security policy; 3) Ensuring that new and existing systems and applications meet all IA requirements; 4) Conducting risk and vulnerability assessments; 5) Providing organizational IA customer support by diagnosing system malfunctions and resolving reported problems Note: This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for this position.
